Position Overview:
Claim Climbers is seeking experienced General Practitioners to join our Medical Provider Team. In this role, you’ll review medical records and prepare comprehensive, detailed nexus letters for veterans experiencing a wide range of medical conditions connected to their military service.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, analytical ability, and clear medical writing skills, along with a compassionate, human-centered approach to working with veterans and team members. Proficiency with computers and electronic medical documentation systems is essential to ensure accuracy and efficiency. A commitment to assisting veterans and ensuring they receive the benefits they deserve is vital.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are hiring licensed, board-certified physicians, including but not limited to:
General Practitioners and Family Medicine Physicians (MD) with experience or interest in working with veteran populations and musculoskeletal or general medical conditions
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze veterans’ medical histories, imaging, and documentation related to chronic illnesses, neurological conditions, respiratory disorders, and general medical issues.
- Write comprehensive nexus letters establishing causation, aggravation, or secondary service connection for VA disability claims.
- Provide expert medical opinions explaining how military service has contributed to or worsened various health conditions.
- Ensure all documentation is thorough, well-supported, and compliant with VA disability claim requirements.
- Work within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of documentation and communication.
Qualifications:
- Licensed MD in the U.S. with board certification.
- Strong analytical and medical writing skills to produce high-quality, evidence-based nexus letters.
- Ability to work within the scope of your knowledge and clinical expertise, while recognizing when to consult or defer to other specialists as appropriate.
- Experience with electronic signature platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in a collaborative documentation environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medical record analysis and documentation.
- Empathy and a genuine, human-centered approach to supporting veterans and collaborating with team members.
- Experience with VA disability claims is preferred, but a willingness to learn VA processes is welcome.
- Veteran status or prior experience with the VA is a plus.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office/Google Apps.
